Fotr tries to emulate the behaviour of an analogue camera with all its pros and cons. It gives you tight restrictions leading to the creative freedom and brings the focus back on what you shoot. Fotr experience starts with the joy of taking pictures and ends with physical prints in your hands.

In order to make this experience possible we need to have access to some of your information. We tried to write this in a human language so it is more readable and easier to understand. Please contact us in case you have any question about anything in or Privacy Policy.

As we try to improve our services there might be updates of this Privacy Policy. We want to keep you informed about what kind of information is being collected and how we use it. That’s why our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page. So please read it carefully and come back regularly.

Information Collected

The core of Fotr are photos. Photos you take with the app are being sent and stored in our servers. They are stored until they are printed. There is a backup copy stored in case of delivery problem on dedicated server with limited access. This copy is used only in case of a delivery problem.

We collect your name, delivery address and use your PayPal details to complete your order.

We also collect information about your activity on our brand website fotr.co by Google Analytics in order to improve our services.

We collect your email address, system version and iPhone generation, when you’re submitting your feedback or you're making a complaint in order to be able to respond to you, regarding the reason why you contacted us. We will not share this information with any third party outside of our organisation, other than necessary to fulfil your request.

We use first-party cookies by Google Analytics in order to analyse your interaction with our website, however google does not store any personal information about you. We also have no access to or control over these cookies.

We store your photos locally on your device in order to let you take pictures without internet connection. They are stored in a place that is not directly accessible to anyone, not even you. These are immediately erased after being sent to our servers.

Use of Information

We use your information to deliver your prints, for administrative purposes, to improve, operate and maintain our product and services. We use your activity on website and our server to monitor and analyse trends, usage and enhance safety.

Sharing Information

We use external shipping company to deliver your prints and PayPal services to bill you through your account or using your credit card details. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond filling your order. We do not sell or trade your information with any outside parties.

Information Control

You can change your delivery information in the setting section whenever you want. You can erase it, but this makes us unable to complete your delivery. You can opt out from Google Analytics using the Opt Out Browser add on.

Children

We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

Other Countries

We are open to whole world and we encourage using Fotr everywhere. However our company is based in Czech Republic, so these Privacy Policy are governed by the law of the Czech Republic.

The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic and its appellate courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna Sales Convention 1980) apply.
